We are seeking a dynamic self-starter to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. In this consulting role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of client?s financial transactions and cash flow and building understand for clients which will help create success.
This position is available for either part-time or full-time depending on your needs . (Monday through Friday, regular business hours).
Key Accountabilities:
General Bookkeeping for Farm Operations:
prepare journal entries and financial statements
manage balance sheets
oversee financial transactions
produce monthly, quarterly and year end reports
accounts payable and accounts receivable
payroll
1099?s and W2?s
Education:
educate clients on accounting software and general accounting functions
Consulting:
develop deep business relationships with clients through consulting relationships that will position farm operations for success
Preferred Qualities:
B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (will consider final year students)
Background: Agriculture background helpful but not required
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communicator, strong work ethic, clear focus on ethical standards, must be familiar with accounting programs
Experience in A/R, A/P, payroll, and preparation of financial statements
