Financial Controller Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - The Controller is responsible for all aspects of financial management and daily accounting operations. This position directly supervises and provides oversight for business accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and also develops internal control policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and counsel, cost accounting, revenue recognition, disbursement activities, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, and total company payroll tax compliance.
Develop and document business processes, financial audits, and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Assure corporate income tax compliance to ensure accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns.
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by maintaining knowledge of existing and new legislation.
Facilitate the preparation of budgets by establishing schedules and implementing plans
Job Requirements
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA preferred.
CPA licensure preferred.
10 years combined accounting and finance experience.
Minimum 8 years managing Accounting or Finance department.
Solid knowledge and experience in application of GAAP.
