Key responsibilities:
Identifies profitability of potential mergers and acquisitions by analyzing tax information, calculating key ratios, and identifying areas of tax savings
Recommends tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues; maintains compliance with regulations; identifies financial discrepancies
Filing federal, state, and local tax documents by preparing tax returns, stage pages, federal, state, and municipal returns, extensions, and quarterly payments
Quarterly and annual financial reporting to the management on an accrual basis
Annual city business license tax calculation and payment
Prepare 1099 forms for vendors and file with the IRS
Prepare annual tax projection report to be reviewed by the CFO; improve compliance by recommending changes in management and accounting operation systems
Prepare monthly management fee report
Ability to manage tight Cash Flow & perform duties such as making debit/credit ACH entries, sending weekly statements to clients, and past due collections
Create and manage Dept. budgets and expenses; Developing programs that cut cost from our vendors for rebates for travel and other monthly expenses
Job requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA certified
Minimum 5+ of previous business management accounting experience, tax accounting experience, and well-rounded understanding of accounting principles and ability to read and analyze financial statements
Excellent oral and written communication skills; skilled in strategic planning, legal compliance, financial diagnosis, and corporate finance
Strong working knowledge of software implementation and familiarity of computerized accounting.
Proficiency in using computers, and Microsoft applications specifically Excel. And knowledge of computer accounting software programs including basic bookkeeping.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver?s License
