Staff Accountant Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Job Title: Staff Accountant
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Job Summary :
The staff accountant is a key member of the finance and administrative team. The staff accountant will be responsible for preparing reconciliations of the bank statements and general ledger accounts, and assist the CFO in closing the financial books each month. This position is also responsible for job costing, financial analysis and other important duties to the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Accounting Entries
General Ledger and Account Reconciliations
Job Costing and Reporting
Weekly Job Cost Meeting
Negotiations with Vendors
Financial Analysis of job profitability and product line results
Oversight of the procurement function of the company
Tax credits and rebate programs
Assist with the annual financial audit
Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements :
B.S. in Accounting or Business Management ? financial emphasis
3-5 years? experience in an accounting function in a manufacturing company
Job Costing and reporting experience
CPA is a plus
