Vice President of Sales and Marketing Job Opening in Petaluma, California - The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing the marketing and sales strategies for the Company, as well as the development and promotion of brand awareness with our key customers, primarily IMO?s and insurance-only agents. Responsible for providing sales support by driving sales concepts, and assisting relationship managers with the integration of insurance and money management strategies into our customer?s retail practice. This includes overseeing the education and training of new and current advisors on the value, benefits and features of our RIA technology platform and business model. This role will combine relationship management skills with sales skills and technological savvy to achieve growth, and assets under management, goals. Supervise Relationship Managers with ongoing coaching and mentoring. Maintain and develop relationship with the money managers and outside vendors to ensure that we sustain a professional delivery and service platform.
Identify strategic implementation opportunities and needs, as well as help design programs that enable individuals to upgrade their investment knowledge and investment-related presentation skills. Effective implementation and execution of consultative selling skills is required. 25%
Work with IMO?s to prospect, grow and develop IAR advisor base through execution of a well-designed business plan. Support IAR?s across several business models in order to grow their business and assets under management. 20%
Oversee advisors with the integration of software presentations into their sales practice, with the goal of helping advisors grow their overall business. 15%
Supervise and mentor Relationship Managers. 10%
Work with compliance team on account approvals and review of paperwork for accuracy, case follow-up, marketing approvals and IAR audits. 10%
Work with IAR?s on case design and client presentations. 10%
Operations: work with existing and new vendors, as well as address operations issues with our different vendors. 5%
Work with retail clients: work with insurance only agents affiliates, retail clients and house accounts. 5%
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in business or related field
Series 65 or 66, with clean U4 record
5 years? Financial Services in sales, management and marketing
In-depth understanding of the retail investment management industry, financial concepts and insurance products.
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success in working directly with RIAs, IARs, or investors in a sales capacity.
Computer and technical proficiency relative to the financial services sales and service tools.
Proven strong financial services sales ability, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel 10 ? 20% of the time.
