SUMMARY
The inside sales representative position is responsible for cultivating relationships with new customers while maintaining existing relationships through phone and email communication. This position will have a defined set of accounts and work on a team with outside sales reps to maximize sales growth and profits/margins.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Phone sales calls to cultivate relationships with new customers and maintain existing relationships
Grow revenue from both new and existing accounts
Meet metric goals such as number of calls per day, average time per connected call, average handle time, sales/day and orders/day
Communicate products features, advantages, and benefits
Quote prices, freight terms and credit terms
Estimate date of delivery to customer
Enter orders daily directly into JD Edwards system to facilitate timely customer deliveries
Enter and maintain accurate customer information in contact management system and ERP system
Learn MTS product lines and keep current with the state-of-the-art techniques in tire service, equipment, and supplies
Demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize sales tools and computer devices as they may become expected, as well as the company systems such as JD Edwards, etc.
Attends all meetings as required, which are usually held at the Myers Sales Office, or sometimes at a vendor location
Comply with all company policies as well as governmental requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Successful sales history with 2+ years of experience
High school diploma required, college degree preferred
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
