Junior Fixed Income Sales Trader Job Opening in Morristown, New jersey - The Morristown, NJ office of SecureVest Financial Group, a registered Broker-Dealer, is looking to expand its Municipal Fixed Income Trading Department with the addition of an Institutional Sales Trader. The candidate will play an integral role in the Municipal Bond Trading Desk?s institutional account coverage servicing clients such as investment advisors and fund management firms. Our business is built on high integrity and trust based relationships focused on finding the most attractive opportunities within the fixed income markets and providing the best execution for our clients. The candidate will aid in building the trading desk?s book of business and covering the firm?s existing accounts. The Municipal Fixed Income Group is comprised of an experienced and cohesive group that is looking for a hard working and motivated individual to become a member of an aggressively growing trading operation.
Job Duties:
Cover institutional accounts in sales and trading of Municipal Fixed Income securities
Build the trading desk?s book of business through forming new relationships with buy side market participants
Perform analytical research of the Municipal Bond Market and report credit events/ratings activities to senior traders, write morning research report detailing credit developments
Assist Operations Team in administrative and trade support functions (resolving trade issues, ensuring trade settlement and resolving discrepancies, liaise with counter party back office)
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Finance/Economics or other major with demonstrated interest in finance
3.00 GPA or Higher
Microsoft Office Proficient
Financial sales experience preferred but not necessary
