Responsibilities
Design, implement and debug production ready software
Share ideas, ask questions, and manage development through project completion
Collaborate with a distributed, asynchronous team for design decisions, development, and code review
Maintain legacy code-bases supporting a variety of functions.
Required Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science, or related field or relevant experience
Demonstrated experience with software engineering principles and tools including: code development, software test, version control (Git, subversion) and code review
Demonstrated experience developing new software and modifying existing software based on documented project requirements and schedules
Demonstrated experience developing software in Linux or Unix (including macOS) environments
Active Secret Security Clearance required
Desired Skills
Experience developing production code in Python, Ruby, C/C++, Java or Perl. Python preferred.
Experience with modern DevOps technologies including: virtualization, Docker, Git
Experience with test driven development
Experience with traditional SQL databases or NoSQL solutions (CouchDB, MongoDB, Redis)
Experience with Bash shell scripting
Experience writing and debugging multi-threaded software
Knowledge of, or interest in, privacy and network security
Understanding of computer networks and protocols
Experience with or understanding of network flow data and analysis tools (e.g. SiLK, NetFlow)
Experience in designing user interfaces
