Job Summary
Conduct quality control tasks including inspecting and sampling. Generate and archive quality control documentation. Issue all work orders for Production Batches. Oversee operations of Inspector I. Assist with coordinating communications between lab and all other departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential
Conduct quality control tasks including inspecting and sampling raw materials, finished products, general merchandise, components, and using a Near Infrared Spectrophotometer.
Creating quality control documentation including inspection worksheets, Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Compliance, reports, and Batch Production Records.
Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of inspection equipment and suites.
Monitor and inspect manufacturing and warehouse functions for cGMP compliance.
Assist in monitoring vendor performance and history.
Assist with internal quality audits.
Follow safety procedures.
Assist with environmental monitoring tasks.
Retention Program.
Assist with training of Inspectors.
Provide Regulatory documentation to Foreign Subsidiaries.
Release of stock items physically and in company ERP database.
Assist with monitoring productivity to ensure adequate training.
Assist with process development and implementation of new procedures.
Assist in the review of component specifications for general merchandise.
Expedite items with coordination between inspectors, Quality Control lab, and all other departments.
Order supplies for QC Department as needed.
Additional
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Understand and adhere to GMP policies and procedures.
, Skills, & Abilities Requirements
Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
1-3 years experience in quality control and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have sufficient technical training to perform essential functions of the position.
Must have basic math skills.
Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
Machines Typically Operated
· Computer, Matrix-F Near Infrared Spectrometer, Microbiological Air Sampler MAS-100, Airborne Particle Counter APC-1000, Standard Caliper, 10-key, word processing, spreadsheet, comprehensive statistical package, etc.
Typical Physical Requirements
Frequently involves medium work: Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Involves a variety of physical activities including:
Pushing Lifting Talking Repetitive Motions
Balancing Pulling Kneeling Crouching
Reaching Standing Walking
Visual acuity required is the minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminals, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, handling small parts, operation of simple machines, using measurement devices, assembling or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes, and recognizing small variances in colors of a variety of different items.
