Accounting Manager Job Opening in Eau Claire, Wisconsin - Dynamic Fabrication & Fitness is seeking an Accounting Manager. This position will lead and direct the company?s accounting department and relevant systems and will be responsible for providing management with accurate financial information and analysis needed to facilitate effective planning and decision making.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct daily practices that are relative to the accounting system including cash management, general ledger accounts, reconciliations and accounts receivables and accounts payables.
Ensure all accounting policies and procedures are in compliance with laws and regulations and generally accepted accounting practices.
Fully utilize the ERP system to accomplish all accounting department functions and improve accuracy and efficiency.
Develop and maintain an Accounting Procedure and Policy manual the provides guidance and support to accounting department personnel.
Implement financial strategies that are reactive to cash flow and support the overall financial health of the company.
Support month-end and year-end close processes and ensure all monthly financial statements with supporting schedules are prepared in an accurate and timely manner.
Analyze financial information, summarize status and highlight key findings.
Depreciation
Oversee tasks related to payroll, taxes, asset management and inventory.
Ensure all required state, federal and local corporates taxes are paid.
Complete all sales and use tax per monthly, quarterly and annually as required.
Participate in yearly financial reviews and/ or audits as required, investigate findings and recommendations.
Ensure all accounting meets the requirements of the auditors and government agencies.
Evaluate and address issues relevant to the accounting control systems, insurance coverage, regulations and recordkeeping compliance, and any audits (internal or external).
Ensure all corporate insurance annual renewals are completed.
Complete the review of the employee benefit package while maximizing cost effectiveness.
Develop the accounting staff?s skills and abilities so they become highly proficient in accounting procedures and practices.
Supervise accounting staff.
Complete special projects or other duties as assigned.
Participating in year-end tax preparation
Education / Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or 2-year Associate Degree is required
Experience 3-5 years of related work experience required
Previous experience in manufacturing industry
Previous experience with Inventory Management and Asset Management
General understanding of Cost Accounting a plus
Great Plains Software knowledge a plus
Strong financial modeling & analytical skills; Superior attention to detail
Exceptional oral/written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
Supervisory experience
