Accountant Job Opening in Eugene, Oregon - Responsible for enterprise accounting functions and financial reporting. Manages and executes regular closing processes. Develops and maintains standard costs. Implements internal audit procedures and controls. Communicates required financial and performance data results to appropriate parties. Oversees A/R, A/P and General Ledger functions. Oversees other bookkeeper activities.
Knowledge of A/R, A/P, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, QuickBooks, and general ledger is required. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines are imperative. Preferred four-year degree in Accounting, but will accept two-year degree in Accounting based on experience. Successful candidate must be a self-starter, affable and team player.
Duties:
A/P, A/R and General Ledger
Prepare and process of payroll records completed by outside service
Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and sales receipts
Prepare month-end account reconciliations and facilitate month-end close
Prepare monthly review package for senior management
Manage petty cash
Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Office ? must demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with QuickBooks
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting preferred ? 2-year degree would also be considered
Prior experience with bank reconciliations
Excellent at problem solving with a strong work ethic and a tendency to believe that it isn?t possible to be overly attentive to detail
Exceptional organization and time management skills
Ability to work productively in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
