This employment opportunity is with the Public Health Division (PHD), Center for Health Protection (CHP), which is part of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). There is one full-time, permanent position located in Portland (800 NE Oregon Street) . This position is classified and represented by a union.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Fiscal and Grant Coordinator promotes the primary mission and goals of the Environmental Public Health section (EPH), the Radiation Protection Services section (RPS), the Drinking Water Services section (DWS), the Health Care Regulation & Quality Improvement section (HCRQI), the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program section (OMMP) and the Health Licensing Office section (HLO) by leading, overseeing, and coordinating programs and fiscal and grant related operations for a variety of public health programs. Using a broad perspective, this position advises the section manager and program managers in the development and management of program level budgets; oversight of statement of work and business components of grants and contracts; and assures programs comply with state and federal laws and policies in these areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five years of progressively responsible experience that included the preparation, analysis, and administration of a budget or fiscal system;
OR
Five years of professional-level experience in accounting, fiscal auditing, management or program analysis. Experience must have included modeling, forecasting and analyzing fiscal information;
OR
Successful completion of the Department of Administrative Services Budget and Management Public Administrative Trainee Program.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and Brio Query.
Experience and education relating to fiscal services.
Working knowledge of SFMA.
Experience with state accounting and Brio Query or other query tools highly desired.
