About Harvest Labs, Inc.: Harvest Labs is a fast paced, growing, toxicology laboratory based in Crowley, LA. We offer leading diagnostic laboratory services to help monitor prescription drugs, addiction and treatment center testing, and reference testing.
Job Summary: Organizes and directs the daily activities of the laboratory. Responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control, and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting lab results. Conduct and review all confirmation results to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the drug testing process, and subsequently releasing these test reports to physicians or other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both urine drug screening and LC/MS/MS confirmation instruments as well as LIS systems. Administrative experience including SOP writing, method development and laboratory inspection preparation is a bonus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews drug confirmation data from the laboratory, compares with the initial screening data for accuracy and release the results.
- Initiates any corrective action in the lab on testing data that has been reviewed and found to be incomplete of inconclusive.
- Provides detailed customer consultation for physicians and other health care professionals in regards to drug testing methods, drug metabolism and excretion.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned consistent with the level of the position.
Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday 8-5
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or greater in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Toxicology, or similar.
- 2+ years LC-MS/MS Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- ASCP or equivalent certification
- Louisiana License as Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist
