Healthy Youth-Healthy Communities Specialist Job Opening in minneapolis, Minnesota - Healthy Youth-Healthy Communities Specialist Jewish Family and Children?s Service of Minneapolis is seeking a part-time Healthy Youth-Healthy Communities Specialist. This position provides programs targeting Twin Cities Jewish preadolescent & adolescent youth. The HYHC Specialist develops and provides preventative health programming to promote positive life choices and alleviate the stigma attached to mental illness and addiction. This position collaborates with Twin City Jewish community educators and youth leaders. This position has flexible daytime hours with programming often in the evening and Sundays. Responsibilities include: ? Develop youth focused curriculum specifically meeting the needs of Jewish youth including activities, resources and referrals that address healthy relationships and positive choices leading to good mental health. ? Provide outreach to the local Jewish community. ? Deliver educational opportunities to organizations that serve Jewish youth. ? Recruit and coordinate volunteer college interns. Job Requirements: EDUCATION: BA or BS in psychology, social work, family social science, social services or related field or equivalent work experience. EXPERIENCE: At least two years experience working with youth in a leadership role. SKILLS: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with youth and adults.
