Medical Record Analyst Job Opening in Springfield, Missouri - EDCO Health Information Solutions is currently looking for Medical Records Specialists to join our team in Springfield, MO. Tuesday - Saturday 3:00pm - 11:30pm - $.50 Shift Differential
Sunday - Thursday 3:00pm - 11:30pm - $.50 Shift Differential
Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm - $.50 Shift Differential
Next Available Training Classes: August 21st and August 28th
We're looking for someone that can do the following:
Quickly learn how to use our company software to review and assign patient and document information to scanned medical records.
Meet both quality and productivity goals for 2-4 assigned customer projects.
Be flexible and adaptable as customer projects change and be willing to jump in and help the department as needed.
Have good attendance. The team and our customers depend on our team members to be here.
The work we do at EDCO is very important to hospitals, clinics, and patients throughout the country. The Medical Record Specialist is instrumental in providing an accurate and quick (1-24 hour) turnaround of patient information back to our clients. Most of the information we deal with will have a direct impact on patient care, so we are looking for someone who will take pride in the work they do and the service they provide to patients.
Desired Skills & Experience
Ideally, we are looking for someone with education and/or work experience with medical records, medical terminology or within the medical field, although this is not required. This is a great opportunity to gain relevant experience in healthcare if you have recently finished a medical certificate program or degree. A high school diploma or GED is required.
A successful candidate in this position will enjoy solving problems, reaching goals, and learning new things. Data entry and 10 key skills are a must.

Other Relevant Information
Training for this position will take place Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm during the first week of employment. Following the first week, you will move to your designated schedule.
This position is sedentary and involves working on a computer all day. We do have some stand-up stations if you would prefer to stand occasionally while you work. Additionally, due to the nature of healthcare, our operations are open 24/7/365, which means we work holidays. Most holidays require lighter staffing levels than normal and we typically rotate holidays to be fair to everyone. EDCO also pays holiday pay for 6 holidays per year.
