Salient Systems, a rapidly growing developer of Video Management Systems is seeking an experienced front end web developer for immediate employment.

Responsibilities
Develop front end web application components based on designs.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
Coordinate with back end and other server development teams in order to produce an end to end user experience.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical and functional needs.
Write well designed, testable and efficient code by using software development best practices.
Stay up-to-date with latest standards, technologies, frameworks or trends.
Qualifications
3+ years experience working with each of HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript.
2+ years maintaining and scaling web site front ends.
Must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-platform / cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
Deep functional knowledge or hands on experience working with Web Services such as REST.
Must be able to coordinate with designers in order to turn mockups into a functional UI.
A solid understanding of latest security and performance concerns.
BS in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with HTML5 audio / video.
Experience with Git. * Experience with Photoshop.
Experience implementing responsive designs.
Experience working with or CakePHP web applications.
Experience designing and building relational database systems in either MS SQL or MySQL.
