Accounting Associate Job Opening in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania - Summary:
Perform daily accounting and financial transactions. Prepare financial data spreadsheets to be used for analysis and forecasting. Generate monthly and periodically reports of financial activities of expenditures, usage and revenue. Perform work in accordance with Federal and state regulations, Blood Bank policies and procedures, and in compliance with direction provided by the Chief Financial Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain working knowledge of organizational technology, including use of Microsoft office, Material Management, payroll, and accounting software.
Receive and record daily cash receipts to prepare for deposit.
Prepare biweekly hospital billings for distribution
Maintain accounts receivable records and documents.
Receive and record vendor invoices matching them with backup documents manually or use of Material Management software.
Input GL cost code to match vendor invoice
Prepare weekly accounts payable check disbursement in accordance with payment/cash schedule
Prepare and update financial data spreadsheets for use in analysis and regulatory reporting
Prepare and update maintenance agreements spreadsheets providing input on renewal
Create and maintain filing records.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
Cross-trained in purchasing, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or related business field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of MS Office, accounting software, payroll systems and Material Management software
Ability to use Excel worksheets and MAS 90/200 accounting software
