Residential Sales Specialist Job Opening in Bend, Oregon - OVERVIEW : Growing, well-established local specialty contractor seeks a detail-oriented, technically minded person to join our team and help take our performance to a higher level. Key product focus is on residential shower enclosures, mirrors, and window glass replacement. Position is office based.
DUTIES :
Handle retail sales and support of our residential customers, including:
- Answering / researching initial questions
- Developing price quotes (working from specialized software)
- Managing sales paperwork (PO's, work orders, etc.)
- Arranging for customer pick-up of goods
- Scheduling field measurements and installations
Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately
Perform daily close as required, including cash reconciliation
Maintain inventory of stock items
Reorganize / improve attractiveness of existing showroom
Develop our sales relationships to potential high-volume businesses
Applicants must Possess:
A least two years of inside and/or retail sales experience, preferably in a technical or building products related capacity
Basic computer and phone skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math with fractions
Excellent customer skills and personal commitment to deliver outstanding service
Ability to follow company procedures for purchasing, reviewing order acknowledgements, receiving goods, filing paperwork, etc.
Strong knowledge of Central Oregon geography needed to schedule efficient field work by crews.
Ability to lift 25 pounds without strain.
Reliable work attendance (M-F 8-4)

Compensation : Competitive and based upon qualifications and experience. Includes medical insurance, paid holidays, and vacation after 90-day probationary period. Simple-IRA retirement plan available.
