The firm now seeks to employ a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to support the existing transaction team(s). Capital Advisors has set aggressive goals for growth in the coming five years, and the analyst hired at this juncture would ideally be able to grow with the firm. Capital Advisors seeks to add this core member to its team in an effort to bolster its business development efforts and expand its transaction capabilities. Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst
Primary Responsibilities:
Collect and compile financial and operations data for prospective and engaged clients of the firm (primarily sell-side M&A engagements)
Conduct pre-sale due diligence, quality of earnings assessment and normalization of financial statements prior to taking client-companies to market
Perform and present detailed research and analysis relating to prospective and engaged clients of the firms including: public information books, financial, qualitative, industry, market segment, SWOT, competitive and prospective acquirer analyses
Prepare and/or support the preparation of detailed reports, presentations and transaction marketing materials including pre-engagement assessments, Confidential Information Memoranda, pitch books, slide decks and custom reports as needed to support the business development and M&A transaction processes
Organize and facilitate the compilation and flow of data throughout the due diligence process of M&A transactions
Provide research, analyses and support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports and newsletters published by the firm
Execute special projects as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, economics or finance from an accredited college or university
Strongly prefer Master of Science in Accountancy with CPA designation
Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA
Strongly prefer three to five years of experience practicing as a CPA with involvement in or exposure to accounting in an M&A environment or relating to M&A transactions
Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, currently or in the future
Able to demonstrate exceptional business writing and verbal communication skills
Energetic and inquisitive, willing to go beyond a formulaic approach to conduct critical business research and analysis
Capable of distilling large quantities of data into meaningful and actionable information within the M&A environment
Exceptional document creation skills and ability to present information with visual impact
Strong problem solving, listening and interpersonal skills
Comfort with team-based work as well as independent projects
Superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to efficiently execute multiple projects in a timely and accurate manner
Mature character, a strong sense of integrity and high standards for business ethics
Full-time position in Montgomery, AL with job-related travel as require
