Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Opening in Fort Payne, Alabama - The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work with the Collections Manager to ensure that invoicing and collections are current, and to reconcile unbilled, billed, paid and unpaid accounts. The right person for this position must have experience with high volume billing.
Essential Job Duties: * Invoice customers in a complete and timely manner * High volume billing * Electronic and hard copy filing * Make collection calls as needed * Prepare weekly reports of status of unbilled, billed, paid and unpaid accounts using Excel spreadsheet * Keep accurate and complete records * Request purchase orders and sales orders from customers * Keep good channels of communication open with Customers and their representatives * Ability to work with all levels of the organization * Strong oral communication skills * All other duties as assigned by the Collections Manager and/or Accounting Director
Required Skills * Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. * Some college coursework in accounting highly preferred. * Minimum 2 years? experience in Accounts Receivable * Must have experience and ability to handle high volume billing. * Experience working in an accounting department * Ability to understand contracts, extra work orders, back charges required. * Must be computer literate with MS Office, Quickbooks and internet. * Excel proficiency at a minimum basic level required. * Must be detail oriented and possess ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English * Must be able to interface with all levels of DTPM employees.
