REPORTS TO: VP, Development
Parathon is a fast-paced work environment that develops software for the healthcare industry. Parathon's core products help hospitals and physician practices manage the entire revenue cycle.
Software Engineers on the EDI Team will develop and maintain Parathon's processes for importing healthcare related transaction sets. Development will be primarily in C# and MS SQL Server. In addition to designing and programming software solutions, Software Engineers will also optimize SQL queries and data processing for fast performance in our many large databases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support existing code base for the processing of healthcare related transaction data
Design and program new software solutions for the handling of healthcare related transaction data
Debug errors and service issues reported by clients
Troubleshoot performance and optimize code and SQL queries
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3 years development experience in C# and ASP
Familiarity with ANSI 835/837 transaction sets
Strong working knowledge of SQL including the ability to creatively resolve problems
Experience working in hospital/insurance billing
