C++ Software Engineer Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - HCTech is a financial trading technology company with offices in New York, Chicago, London and Singapore.
We mission critical systems that are used for financial markets transactions, and looking for experienced and motivated software engineers in our Chicago office to help improve and maintain our trading platform.
Responsibilities:
Help quantitative traders integrate their trading models with our internal API
Maintain the status of the different internal test environments
Improve and create new integration gateways with other financial institutions in different market segments
Qualifications:
* Excellent communications skills
* Excellent C/C++ skills
* Proficiency with Git
* Familiarity with testing frameworks (Gtest, JUnit, etc)
* Basic Linux skills
Desired Experience:
* Experience with application profiling and debugging
* Experience with common tools (make, git, bjam, valgrind, unittest, gdb, etc)
* Experience in financial markets (we can bring you up to speed)
* Experience with common frameworks (Boost)
Education:
* BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Math with 5 years of experience
