About KT&G U.S.A.
KT&G, headquartered in South Korea entered the American market in 1999 with the Carnival Brand Cigarettes. We reorganized the US market in 2010 by forming a 100% owned subsidiary of KT&G called KT&G USA. The company now distributes ?Carnival? and ?Timeless Time? cigarettes to over 300 wholesalers in 41 States.
KT&G primarily exports our tobacco products to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and America. We have manufacturing facilities in South Korea as well as three manufacturing facilities in Indonesia, Russia, and Turkey.
Besides the tobacco business, KT&G is also involved in the development, manufacturing and distribution of tobacco and ginseng plant seeds, real estate, medical equipment, and other bio-technology related products.
Position Purpose
KT&G U.S.A. is presently seeking a Sales Representative to become a member of our Sales team, to help support the overall strategy of the organization in Wisconsin.
This is a newly created territory for KT&G U.S.A. and includes many major cities in Wisconsin and may require overnight travel. This position offers advancement opportunity.
Wisconsin residents preferred.
Responsibilities
Stimulate market growth throughout prospecting, cold calling, and networking within the retail channels that will include: convenience stores, retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
Conduct professional presentations to prospective and existing customers within a geographically defined territory.
Ensure optimal visibility of company products
This position will require heavy use of the computer and phone by interacting with current and potential clients in person, by phone, and by e-mail
The ability to search and find new clients through various channels
Meet and negotiate with customers face to face
Achieve monthly/quarterly sales quotas
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit
Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
Qualifications & Experience
Associate Degree and/or Bachelor?s Degree or 1-3 years of sales or industry experience.
Experience in selling to retailers, wholesalers and distributors in the Consumer Products industry are preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic.
Clear driving record.
