Agri-Services Accountant Job Opening in Columbia, Missouri - PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Provide application and accounting support to users of the MFA Retail Operating System (company-owned, locals, and joint venture partners). Support encompasses the MFA operating system, accounting policies/procedures and other accounting sub-systems.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
B.S. degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
Accounting related experience required
Travel requirements: First 2 years - Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time including extensive overnight travel, mainly in the state of Missouri. After 2 years ? Overnight travel will reduce significantly. Day travel will still be required up to 50% of the time.
Must have or acquire knowledge of Agri Services operations and Operating system
Attention to detail is essential and analytical skills are required
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Excellent P.C. skills required - Excel and Word
Excellent interpersonal skills required, and must be able to work with a variety of people
Strong analytical and accounting skills. Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles and knowledge of cooperative accounting preferred
Agricultural background helpful
