POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for selling and coordinating all Messina Hof in-house and contracted designer events, as well as execution of all events. This position will be responsible for creating and selling new events throughout the year.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Sell, plan, and execute in-house events and contracted events, including coordination of dates and times, cost per event, and issuance of proper paperwork.
Follow up with deposits and records, and be responsible for all cash and non-cash transactions
Close files: bookkeeping, correspondence, etc.
Answer phones and direct calls and maintain all communication files
Attend all required meetings and facilitate communication, via written and verbal, with administrative staff
Responsible for consultations with the Event Sales Manager, as needed. Act as liaison between vendors, suppliers and Messina Hof staff.
Maintain Messina Hof?s high standard of cleanliness and organization of event spaces.
Check supplies for up-coming events and replenish stock, as needed
Achieve sales goals and profitability. Assist to maximize sales and control expenses to make events profitable and run within budgetary guidelines
Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
Related degree and/or 2 ? 4 years related experience
Ability to use a personal computer
Knowledge of desktop publishing preferred
Excellent communication skills, eye for detail and positive motivational attitude
Ability to execute and improve existing Messina Hof events, as well as design and plan new events
Experience in wait staff relations including management, planning and delegating tasks to provide superior food and beverage service.
Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times.
