Financial/Data Analyst Job Opening in Woodbridge, Connecticut - Well established, local company is seeking an experienced financial/data analyst to join their team. We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of financial analysis experience who understands accounting and maintains strong system skills. This is a stand-alone role in a busy department, and reports directly to the Controller and CFO.
Responsibilities include:
Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Perform regression analyses
Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Discipline Required
5+ years of financial/data analysis experience required
Strong MS Excel skills required
Exposure and experience with ERP systems
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
