Description
The Inside Sales Representative role is to plan, design, develop, launch and administer efficient business systems in support of Outside Sales and the Revenue growth targets of the company. This includes coordinating and conducting Marketing activities either directly or with contracted resources in support of the Companies Marketing plan. The Inside Sales Representative is also responsible for providing administrative support for the Outside Sales Representatives and ensuring that documentation of sales activities is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate with internal resources and customers to ensure that orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. Develop relationships with Customers and become the primary contact for routine ordering, scheduling, problem resolution and quality issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the effectiveness of the sales efforts of the Company.
Responsibilities
Sales
Identify up sell / cross sell opportunities in existing accounts
Identify prospects and leads through referrals and cold calling
Ensure that Sales Representatives record Prospects, Opportunities and Tasks in database in a timely manner.
Assist Sales Representatives with scheduling and coordination of sales calls and proposal / presentation delivery to
Coordinate presales communications with Sales Engineering, Sales Representative and customers to ensure proposals are delivered to customers in a timely and complete manner.
Ensure that Sales Engineering utilizes Tasks to effectively communicate lead time for proposals to Sales.
Monitor sources for RFP?s and identify opportunities for the Company.
Take the lead in generations of responses to RFP?s utilizing existing information and input from stakeholders to complete and submit responses in accordance with stated requirements.
Provide routine quotes to customers and prospects at the direction of Outside Sales
Team with channel partners and technical reps to help expand pipeline business and close deals
Ensure that customers pay within account terms * Marketing Support
Coordinate all tradeshow and vendor events, including completing all registration forms, planning and coordinating logistics, setup, teardown, door prizes, lead documentation and tracking.
Ensure that all lead are recorded and flagged within company database with lead source and sales plan.
Ensure that incoming leads are distributed to the proper Outside Sales Representative.
Create and deliver monthly lead generation report.
Manage stock of sales collateral
Coordinate with Vendors to ensure that the Company is taking advantage of Vendor supplied sales collateral and that Company maximizes the utilization of Coop funds.
Position Requirements
Proven inside sales experience
Track record of over-achieving quota
Strong phone presence and experience dialing several calls per day
Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
Experience working with CRM database
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Work Conditions
Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
