A/R Specialist, Skilled Nursing Facility (Full-Time, Days) Job Opening in Oxford, North carolina - Universal Healthcare of Oxford is a 160-skilled bed nursing facility and 20-bed assisted living in Oxford, North Carolina. We currently have an exciting opening for a full-time Assistant Business Office Manager ("A/R Specialist").
This is a temporary position (6-12 months) with opportunity to go permanent based on employee performance and facility need. Position is Full-Time, Days (8:00-5:00).
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS include the following:
Minimum of one (1) year in Dept. of Social Services (DSS) setting with experience processing Medicaid applications, or
one (1) year business office experience in a skilled nursing facility, or
two (2) years experience with health care accounts receivable, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Experience in Windows based applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with American Health Tech (AHT) / LTC system preferred.

Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Business Office Manager. The A/R specialist is responsible for completing all administrative duties as required, including but not limited to:
Work all resident related accounts receivable balances including Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Private Pay, and other payers to ensure accurate balances, timely billing, and collections.
May assist residents/families with Medicaid application process.
Employ timely collection methods on accounts that become outstanding.
Ensure accuracy of patient account billing information, including coordination with other departments as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $13.00 to $17.31 /hour
Required experience:
AHT (American Health Tech) / LTC: 1 year
health care accounts receivable (including Medicare and Medicaid): 1 year
skilled nursing facility business office: 1 year
NC Medicaid application process / NC Tracks: 1 year
