Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Glen Cove, New york - Seeking bookkeeper, Glen Cove
Small, family-run company in search of a part-time, full charge bookkeeper who is organized and independent, and not above filing. Looking for someone who is able to handle strong personalities confidently yet professionally.
Responsibilities:
Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
Billing daily; ensuring bills are prepared in advance for days out of the office
Ensuring ledger accounts are balanced accurately
Once-a-month bank reconciliations required
Resolving any outlying payments and/or vendor/client issues
Following up with clients if necessary to ensure timely payments
Assisting with the preparation and review of annual budget
Running monthly reports on year-over-year sales, and as requested
Preparing and entering invoices in an online system
Filing and tracking paperwork
Properly tracking workers? hours, including sick time and paid time off
Managing payroll + benefits
Job costing
Backing up office manager in answering phones, when busy
Job Requirements:
College degree in accounting preferred
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of payroll and sales tax
Must be fluent in Quickbooks
3-5 years of bookkeeping experience
Construction/Trades experience, especially job costing, required
