Grant Accountant Job Opening in New York, New york - Community Healthcare Network is seeking for a Grant Accountant who under the supervision of Director of Budget and Grants Management, will prepare and maintain all grants& contracts functions and other assigned duties.
Essential Functions:
Prepare program development budget for all State, Other Federal, City, Private foundation and legislative grants.
Attend all planning meetings and follow-up with program and development as needed to complete budget and budget narrative. Bring any unresolved issues to the Supervisor.
Perform program budget & expense analysis and propose adjusting journal entries as needed.
Prepare and execute budget modifications throughout the fiscal year ensuring compliance with all funders and agency.
Develop and maintain schedules for tracking budget and expenditures per program and category.
Track, analyze, prepare and complete all schedules to produce claim vouchers within 15th to 30th day of the following month.
Liaison with finance staff to coordinate correct allocation of budget & expenses.
Monitor grants & contracts accounts and spending reimbursement trends, and advise Supervisor of issues.
Reconcile monthly payroll and OTPS charges to each cost center to the general ledger no later than 15th of the following month; advise Supervisor of any unresolved issues.
Maintain grants & contracts Aging of Receivable Schedule.
Prepare quarterly contract schedule, reconcile grants & contract receivable and revenue in the general ledger, and prepare necessary adjusting entries.
Ensure all records and documents are on file in case of audit.
Assist Supervisor with all other contract related functions such as identify and implement system enhancements concerning grants & contracts revenue & expense management; COBRA report; CFR report.
Assist in internal and external audit activities and reporting ? including A-133 federal audit.
Provide analytical and technical support to accounting staff as needed.
Qualification/s:
B.A. in Accounting.
At least two (2) years of relevant, in-depth healthcare experience.
