We're growing fast and are looking for an experienced Junior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a head for numbers, experience with Quickbooks Online, and strong analytical skills. The Junior Accountant will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment. You will report directly to the Company?s Controller and work with teams across all aspects of the Company. Our ideal candidate is someone with bookkeeping experience at a SaaS and/or software company.
As a Junior Accountant at Snaps you will:
- Maintain the company?s general ledger accounts in QuickBooks Online, including posting journal entries and coding revenue and expenses
- Assist in the month-end closing of the Company?s accounting books, including preparing monthly financial statements reports for Snaps Senior Management team
- Maintain accounting records and schedules for key balance sheet accounts (e.g. deferred revenue, accrued expenses, prepaid expenses)
- Serve as the primary Accounts Receivable contact with our clients, including all invoicing and collections related tasks
- Serve as the primary Accounts Payable contact for all vendors and consultants
- Processing semi-monthly expense reports
- Work on other accounting-oriented projects
Ideally, you have:
- 2+ years of working with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's or Bachelor?s degree in Accounting plus 2+ years of relevant bookkeeping / accounting experience
- The ability to prioritize and work efficiently with minimum supervision
- You're happy to own a function without support
- An excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Experience in SaaS / software industry preferred
