Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will support the Controller by performing a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks to ensure the preparation of accurate and properly documented financial statements and internal management reports. The staff accountant will also be assigned special projects.
The candidate must be comfortable in a fast paced, results-oriented organization. He/she must have demonstrated proficiency working within an ERP system. The candidate also must be comfortable working closely and cooperatively with other departments within the organization. Principal Responsibilities:
Prepare account analyses and reconciliations to insure that general ledger accounts balances are accurate.
Advise other departments on account coding and proper procedures to follow to ensure costs are properly authorized and charged.
Composing and posting of monthly journal entries.
Prepare analyses and reposts regarding sales and marketing expenses.
Prepare and analyze month end profit center reports. Assist in budgeting, estimating, and variance analysis.
Assist in preparing key performance metrics and information for bank and annual audits.
Assist in the monthly preparation of financial statements
Perform other related duties as requested by Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of increasing level of responsibilities in a multi-location company
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and ability to quickly learn ERP systems.
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance related field required.

Strong analytical ability and understanding of accounting theory.
