Systems Analyst (Integrations) Job Opening in Gordonsville, Virginia - Position
The Technology Development Team is responsible for all of the custom developed software and technical solutions developed within Green Applications, Green Distribution, and F&M Expressions. This team oversees and implements the development of custom software that enables manufacturing, art development, marketing, and e-commerce. The Technology Development Team creates Software as a Service solutions for external customers utilizing proprietary technology and methodologies.
The Systems Analyst for the Technology Development business unit will be responsible for working with the day to day users of our internal/external facing software systems. The Systems Analyst will monitor Helpdesk tickets, triage issues, and communicate with users as well as management on status of issues. This position is responsible for defining enhancements and features for existing and new software as well as performing technical work.
The Systems Analyst will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing execution systems of the organization support speed, efficiency, and quality. Responsible for software initiatives and data gathering projects from manufacturing equipment, the analyst will lead and execute Shop Floor/MES initiatives. The analyst will also be expected to be a technical point of contact on all of our software offerings. The successful candidate will be expected to understand and perform or lead integrations between Corporate off the shelf (COTS) software and customer software.
This position can either be located in Belle Vernon PA or Gordonsville VA. If candidate has home office in Belle Vernon, the candidate will be expected to travel often to lead implementations in Gordonsville, VA. Candidate may also be called to travel to other manufacturing operations in Secaucus, NJ.
This position reports to the Director of Technology Development.
Position Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead smaller more focused technical projects and communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
A quality focused individual that can understand how technology systems can improve overall chances for business success.
3 to 5 years of Software Development experience as either a Software Developer, Analyst, or Technical Project Manager.
Familiarity with Database Technologies, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
Familiarity with programming languages and frameworks
Javascript
NodeJS
Bootstrap
PHP
Java
Object oriented programming and design.
Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical people
Ability to communicate technical ideas to technical people
Strong Business acumen
Manufacturing background will be considered a plus.
Software background considered a strong plus.
Understanding of APIs RESTFul and SOAP
Familiarity with SOA - Service Oriented Architectures.
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and data extraction from PLCs considered a big plus.
