Outside Sales Representative Job Opening in Kent, Washington - OVER VIEW:
Cascadia Metals is a leading Steel Service Center focusing on Coated Carbon Steel products servicing the building and construction markets within the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Our US distribution centers serve west coast steel markets and are located in Longview,WA, Kent, WA, Nampa, ID and Hubbard, Or. Our facilities are located near the three major modes of transportation - ship/barge, truck and rail to ensure that all destinations can be served promptly and efficiently.
Cascadia Metals USA plant is a midstream processing and distribution facility offering slitting, cut to length, leveling, slearing, and toll processing. We carry large inventories of carbon steel flat rolled products including Hot Rolled, Cold Roll, Galvanized, Galvalume, Galvanneal, and Painted Steel in coil or flat sheet for the building and construction industry. The facilities create and deliver value by producing high quality products that are cost competitive and delivered downstream to customers on time and complete.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in appropriate discipline; 3 to five years demonstrated outside sales experience preferably in the steel, metal, or like industry; seeking collaborative team player, with outstanding sales ethic and a can do work attitude...
SALES DEPARTMENT ACCOUTABILITIES AT CASCADIA:
Achieve sales revenue and volume targets as set forth in fiscal territory sales budget...
Maintain existing customer satisfaction , positive customer relationships and rapport for all segments of business, working within the strategic and tactical guidelines of the Business Sales/Marketing Plan...
Daily field contact with existing customer base and continual prospecting for new customers...
Optimize efficiencies and assist in planning activities, scheduling and processing through interaction with inside sales team and planning group as it relates to territory customer base...
Provide quick and professional responses to both internal and external customers...
Prepare and syndicate Call Reports...
Gather market intelligence, to include competitors pricing and service offers...
Prepare and maintain "Customer Profiles" to assist Inside Sales and Operations...
Facilitate prompt warranty and/or claim resolution...
TECHNICAL OUTSIDE SALES ACOUNTABILITIES:
Work, sell, and understand Cascadia's processing capabilities, internal processes and limitations in order to meet customer commitments...
Develop proficiency in SteelPlus operating and inventory system...
PC competent (including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)...
PLANNING AND ORGANIZATIONAL: ACCUNTABILITIES:
Review monthly customer sales budget and develop strategic activities to meet sales targets for both revenue and tons...
Communicate travel itinerary to Sales Manager and Inside sales at local branch...
Report activities and follow-up on sales call activities and resulting action items...
Analyze sales performance to business plan, using sales reports/budget; support Sales Manager in development of alternative plans when necessary to achieve targeted results...
Develop commercial awareness with support departments through call reports, one -on -one and group discussions, and customer visits...
