EVS/Operating Room Cleaner/Float-PART TIME-EVENINGS-Warrensv... Job Opening in Cleveland, Ohio - Dependable individual needed to full PART TIME-EVENING Cleaner/ Operating Room EVS Housekeeper Position. In this position you will be responsible for the end of night cleaning of the Operating Rooms and Morgue at a Healthcare Facility. The hours for this position are after 6pm 2 days a week, Tuesday and Wednesday for approximately 4.5-5 hours per night. You must be comfortable working around trauma patients in a Healthcare Environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that the operating rooms, morgue and surrounding areas are cleaned in a timely and complete manner at the end of each day. Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic. The OR EVS Housekeeper is trained to perform certain activities which include: cleaning of physical environment in surgical department, storing supplies, and maintaining the operating room in a clean, orderly condition. On Monday, Thursday and Friday you will work as a Floater and work in various accounts in the Cleveland area covering open routes. As a Floater you will be paid $11.00/hour and on Tuesday and Wednesday when you are working as an EVS/Operating Room Cleaner you will be paid $13.00/hour. .
Requirements:
1. Follows specific procedure to perform terminal cleaning of OR rooms in accordance with AORN/APIC guidelines.
2. Dusts all surfaces that collect dust, removes all trash from area and cleans all furniture and metal porcelain fixtures.
3. Maintains equipment for cleanliness and cleans work cart and restocks as needed. Reports any repairs that need to be done. Changes mop water as specified by Infection Control and/or EVS standards.
4. Mixes detergent-germicide solution according to manufacturers specifications making sure all containers have proper labeling.
5. Ensures all OR and Morgue Floors and interior walkways and common areas are clean, serviceable, and maintained in a timely manner
6. Moves furniture and other objects as needed in order to ensure adequate cleaning.
7. Must have clean background
8. Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS Physical requirements include: constant standing/walking, twisting, pushing/pulling, using arm, leg and back muscles, smelling, hearing, color vision, finger dexterity and working in hot, cold, or wet surroundings. Frequent bending/stooping, lifting 50 pounds and working with or near chemicals. Occasionally sitting, climbing and using wall mops to clean walls and ceilings
