AHC Home Health of Kansas City is a Medicare certified home healthcare provider specializing in post-surgical rehabilitation. Our team of nurses and therapists are highly trained and specialized to provide high quality care to every one of our patients. We visit people in their homes in both Kansas and Missouri to help them return to their maximum level of independence and safety. We're looking for qualified candidates to join our team and help us continue to provide five star service.
Job Responsibilities
AHC Home Health expects its nurses to visit patients and provide high quality care. Nurses should be able to respond to a patients questions and requests tactfully.
Candidates for the job should know how to perform comprehensive assessments including filling out OASIS paperwork. AHC Home Health expects nurses to be able to perform these tasks quickly and accurately.
Nurses are responsible for communicating with patients and patient family members. They are also responsible for making decisions and directing appropriate care taking into consideration immediate and long-term effects of those decisions.
Nurses will report to AHC Home Health's Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Current license as an RN in Kansas AND Missouri
Baccalaureate degree preferred
1 year nursing experience. Home care experience preferred
Knowledge of home health regulatory and reimbursement requirements
Knowledge of OASIS
Current CPR certification
Drivers license and access to an insured vehicle
Typical Physical Demands
Requires full range of body motion
Manual and finger dexterity
May require working under stressful conditions and working irregular hours
Involves exposure to communicable diseases
Performance Requirements
Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures
Skilled in identifying problems and recommending solutions
Skilled in preparing and maintaining records and reports
Ability to communicate clearly
Skilled in maintaining department quality assurance
