Director of Finance and Operations Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - The Director of Finance and Operations serves as an integral member of the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) senior management team. The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for supporting the executive team with key financial information and operational analytics, and driving a culture of accountability in managing the business, and adding value to CPRD?s revenue streams. The Director of Finance and Operations works closely with the Executive Director to provide analytic support and carry out all financial and administrative functions of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance . The leadership position develops knowledge and insight into the areas and issues under the Executive Director?s oversight to be able to advise, interpret policy, anticipate problems and/or take action as appropriate; Manages the clerical and administrative responsibilities of CPRD; Acts as liaison and primary communications contact for a wide variety of individuals at all organizational levels within and external to CPRD, preparing reports and financial data, training and supervising other support staff, developing policies and systems, and partner/customer relations.
Major Responsibilities
Fiscal Management:
Design budgets, maintain financial records, and oversee fiscal accountability to ensure that Cleo Parker Robinson Dance maximizes the use of its financial resources.
Oversee all organizational bill paying, QuickBooks entry, reporting and expenses.
Acts as staff liaison to the Board Finance Committee.
Forecast and proactively manage cash flows.
Personnel Administration:
Maintain a viable workforce to meet the needs of constituents served by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance ; administer pay and benefits for all staff.
Ensure that personnel and agency policies/practices meet all applicable employment laws; assure that pay and benefit structures remain relevant and competitive; and implement Board approved personnel policies.
Supervise, train and hire administrative and finance staff and conduct performance reviews.
Onboard new employees (administrative and artistic), organize payroll and manage all other human resource functions for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance .
General Operations and Administration:
Manage organization day-to-day calendar and schedule of meetings and events.
Manage operational strategy and performance in line with organizational strategic plan.
Coordinate, supervise and oversee all day-to-day operations including maintenance and cleaning contracts.
Oversee technical support and planning for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.
Act in place of the Executive Director in her/his absence.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving problems.
Resource Development:
Work closely with the Director of Development and Executive Director to ensure adequate financial resources to carry out the work of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.
Work closely with the Director of Development and Executive Director to implement the fundraising strategy.
Assist with the development annual Fundraising/Revenue Plan.
Asset Management
Oversee management of assets in the organizational portfolio to ensure sound fiscal and physical practices and property maintenance.
Maintain ongoing relationships with funders and peers in the community.
Program Administration:
Advise and manage production schedule.
Contribute to the enhancement and development of programs and services.
Recommends measures to improve methods, performance and quality of services.
Maintain ongoing relationships with funders and peers in the arts and non-profit financial management community.
Manage Vendini ticketing services for CPRD Ensemble and CPRD Theatre Rentals/Partners.
May lead and/or assist in the planning and coordination of community and/or staff events.
Researches and prepares materials for presentations; assists with drafting and editing grants, reports, etc.
Effectively leads and supervises technical and other support staff, and evaluates performance.
Participate and contribute in all activities and/or projects that directly support CPRD in fulfilling its mission and achieving its vision through dedication to the community in which CPRD serves, operational excellence, and fiscal responsibility.

Qualifications
Proven record for strong ability to assess information, practices, and procedures, identify relevant concerns, formulate logical conclusions and recognize the implications of alternatives;
Ability to understand and apply basic accounting principles;
Solid analytical skills to read, interpret and prepare reports;
Business management experience ? 5-10 years ? required
Board experience ? desired
Direct experience managing a group of people ? required
Direct experience supervising managers ? at least 5 years ? required
