Vice President of Sales - Building Products Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - The SAY Group is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the Sales team of a progressive building products company. This position reports to the CEO and is a highly visible role focused on developing sales strategy and delivering sales results. This is home-based position with a high percentage of travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the activities of the Sales team to develop and implement sales planning and execution including developing, coaching, motivating, and empowering sales professionals
Identify and work top accounts in partnership with stakeholders to deepen customer loyalty and drive market share
Prepare pipeline and forecast management for assigned territories
Manage and stay within sales development budgets
Promote a positive relationship between staff, sales, internal teams and customers
Deliver sales results in relation to pipeline commitments
Work with Territory Managers to develop a strategic/marketing plan for assigned territory based company goals and objectives, needs of the customer and past years? performance. Adjust plans as needed
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout the year to stay abreast of the current trends
Responsible for meeting sales targets. Partner with Inside Sales Representatives and Inside Sales Manager
Manage Sales team communications internally and externally; act as the Sales team point of contact for commercial questions and executive discussions
Partner with Marketing and Product teams to launch and grow new products in the market
Develop systems to support the Sales team mission and reporting needs including the use of
Strategize and collaborate with existing customers to increase business
Regulate revenue by maximizing profits through pricing, margin control and mitigating loss
Have a hunter attitude and polished presentation skills
Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required (Master's desirable)
7-10 years of sales experience with a proven track record in meeting quota in building products industry. 3-5 years of management experience
Experience and knowledge of cultured stone and/or artificial stone industries and products required
Proficient in MS Office and Sales Management Software
Acceptable driving record required
Requires heavy travel with frequent overnight stays
