Sales Support Specialist Job Opening in Worcester, Pennsylvania - The Sales Support Specialist will be located in our Worcester, PA office and is responsible for coordinating high touch processes for Outside Sales Team customers. These touches include but are not limited to quote and order entry, cross referencing, sourcing and pricing functions as a single point of contact for the customer. Increases productivity by managing hand offs between multiple departments on behalf of the Outside Sales Rep. and the customer. Provides exceptional service for complex and urgent sales opportunities that drives customer trust and confidence. Proactively anticipates and executes on customer needs and sales opportunities.
Essential Duties:
Work closely with the outside sales force to accomplish the combined goal of increasing account and sales volume.
Act as a liaison for the sales team with multiple departments. Adds value by effectively communicating service center capabilities to build customer relationships, loyalty, and retention.
Provide flawless customer service and sales support through specialized phone and email interactions. Answers telephone, fax, and email requests for quotes, orders, and other inquiries.
Performs daily maintenance of Tool Cribs for assigned target customers including but not limited to replenishment receiving, shipment tracking and follow-up on overdue shipments, shipment dispute resolution, etc.
Probe to qualify and uncover unique and complex customer requirements.
Perform basic proactive activities included but not limited to quote follow-up, order follow-up, upselling and adding accessories, introductory calls, product line extension (Tool Cribs, Techni-Tool Drop Ship, etc.), and strategy discussions with Outside Sales counterparts and log such activities in the CRM.
Perform or coordinate product research via self-service or cross functional partnership with the product management team and/or vendors.
Maintain prospect department and title coding and accurate mailing lists for assigned account package and/or accounts. Maintaining the mailing list includes signifying when prospects are no longer with the company and updating contact preference flags for
Use CRM software to record customer interaction by logging activities. Qualify prospect calls by the type of account, needs, products used, sales potential, and follow the proper procedure to record this information in the CRM.
Update knowledge of product offering and application through study of product materials and meetings with management, vendors, customer service, etc.
Generate and maintain Individual Development Plan (IDP) and yearly goals in Techni-Tool's SAP system on an ongoing basis and discuss changes with leader for optimal success within the Sales Support role.
Core Competencies:
Minimum of 2-4 years experience in sales or related field
BA Degree in Business preferred by not required
Build rapport and relationships with both internal and external customers
Be able to independently identify and solve complex customer problems
Demonstrate consistent, dependable, and on-time performance
Follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in every transaction
Multitask and navigate through multiple channels (phone, fax, email) in an efficient and accurate manner
Possess strong systems fluency in Prelude and CRM software
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate ability to independently accomplish tasks in a timely manner and be highly results oriented
Physical Demands:
Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
Grasping, applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm (phone usage)
Repetitive motion, substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
