Inside Sales Representative Job Opening in Norman, Oklahoma - Cherokee Cap Creations is a headwear manufacturer and supplier geared to service the promotional product industry nationwide. Essential Job Responsibilities Include And Are Not Limited To:
Develop a solid understanding of the promotional product industry and stay apprised of new products, trends, and services within the industry
Work with distributors in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships by providing excellent service and internal sales assistance
Process orders and manage those in queue to ensure timely production by following up with vendors, updating order database, and keeping communication flowing to sales team members and customers; may require delivery occasionally
Perform various market research duties, such as, obtaining contact information for existing prospect lists, develop new prospect lists for target industries, develop introductory e-mails for new prospects, etc.
Using SmartBooks? a similar program to QuickBooks (specific to the promotional product industry), training will be provided
Perform various administrative functions for existing and new accounts
Assist with answering phones and general filing
Blank Program ? manage inventory and shipment of goods
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of customer service or sales experience; preferably in the promotional product industry
Associate/BA Degree or equivalent training/history in customer service and/or sales
Must be 21 years of age and provide a recent copy of a clean MVR
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as, a strong phone presence
Willingness to fully utilize SmartBooks (an industry specific accounting system)
Ability to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook
Experience with Adobe Illustrator is a PLUS!
Key Competencies Must have attention to detail and accuracy. Able to plan and organize with strong communication skills. Strategic thinking is mandatory with the ability to evaluate and improve inside sales and sales administration processes. Must be a team worker.
Salary and bonus package is commensurate with experience.
