Job Summary
At Maryland State Solar our Solar Sales Consultants are responsible for bringing renewable energy to homes and businesses across Maryland. We are looking for motivated and passionate personnel who want to work towards building a better future for our planet. In 2016 over half a billion dollars was invested in solar systems in Maryland. The Maryland solar market represents billions of dollars in investment potential over the coming years, with over tens of thousands of residential homes and businesses looking for solar power. Do you want to be a part of a rapidly growing industry with ten of thousands of sales per year to be made?
Government incentives at both the federal and state levels make solar a huge financial benefit for homeowners and businesses alike. As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will have a high-income potential in an exciting and competitive culture, doing work that helps the environment. We are looking for experienced sales people for this position. Past renewable energy experience is not necessary but experience closing is.
Responsibilities
Visit customers homes for introductory appointments set by our canvassing team.
Return to customers for a second appointment with a full proposal to present and close.
Complete necessary paperwork to obtain financing approval and hand off the customer to our operations team.
After visiting a customer's appointment speak with several neighbors about going solar.
Engaging prospects through marketing displays at different shows.
Cultivate a referral network from your customers.
Communicating with the management team to analyze and improve marketing/sales tactics and processes.
Achieving personal and team sales goals and objectives.
Qualifications

Must be comfortable in an active face to face retail environment
Entrepreneurial spirit with the desire to stay on the leading edge of a growing industry
Solid verbal and written communication skills

An outgoing personality with the ability to speak to anyone!
Works well independently, perseverant resilient, well-spoken and persuasive
Saturday availability
Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce is a plus
Reliable access to transportation to/from multiple neighborhood locations ? (Valid Driver?s License)
Ability to pass background and drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Required education:
High school or equivalent
Required experience:
Renewable Energy Sales: 2 years
