RN Care Quality Advisor Job Opening in San Antonio, Texas - You must be located in San Antonio, Texas (this position requires you to come into the office 1-2 days a week.
Clinical Care Quality Advisor assures quality standards are met through data collection, analysis and process improvement efforts; utilizes result data to proactively identify and address opportunities to improve clinical outcomes and patient safety; participates in process improvement activities to improve clinical quality (service, outcome and/or cost).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
0%-80% of time ? administration of quality activities
0%- 10% of time - training and mentoring new hire classes
10%-20% of time - scheduled for live call production
Assists the Compliance and Quality Initiatives Director in monitoring and assessing the quality standards in various departments.
Prepares audit materials for different departments aimed at patient safety and excellence in quality standards. * Initiates internal communication regarding the progress of quality standards across departments.
Maintains files and documents pertaining to quality audits across departments.
Gathers information and remains current on company needs and requirements to ensure quality standards are met across various departments.
Works closely with the various audited departments to ensure that any identified opportunities are addressed within a particular time frame
Assists the Clinical Learning and Workplace Development Manager with plans and deliverance of training to both Clinical and Non-Clinical employees as assigned.
Meets established monthly audit requirements for both clinical and non-clinical employees; identifies trends and recommends education on an individual and/or group level.
Actively participates in the Quality Management Committee, as requested.
Assists with a minimum of one (1) annual Quality Improvement Project (QIP) based either on training or quality audit results
Qualifications/ : Minimum of an Associate?s degree from a two-year college or technical school or Diploma Nursing Program
Three (3) years experience as a Care Advisor is required. Experience with Health Insurance and Managed Care concepts is preferred.
