A young custom software firm in the Greater Indianapolis Area is ready to expand and seeks to hire a programmer who is more than just a heads-down code writer. The successful candidate will initially spend 50% of their time at the customer?s office, thus will be the face of the company. This means representing their core values of integrity, hard work, and serving the client's best interest.
The company?s focus is building and maintaining custom business software which includes new software from the ground up, migrating legacy software to modern technologies, and assuming responsibility for projects abandoned by previous developers.
The performance objectives of a successful first year will be:
A satisfied customer who continues the service and willingly refers the company to others.
Growth in the depth of your programming skills.
Applying and improving your skills and ability to work with the customer, adapt to changes, guide them to their best choice and the willingness to acknowledge and correct your mistakes and weaknesses.
To meet the performance objectives you will need to have:
Strong programming skills with C++ and C#, 4-6 years highly preferred
Experience with user interface plus back-end processes
Success working with customers to put their ideas into programming success
The ability work with different libraries and tools
Experience with systems for managing contracts and workflow
Bonus or preferred experience:
SQL, Web and Winforms Development
Understanding of OCR 3rd party software (ABBYY is a plus)
Socket Programming
ASMX Web Service Development
Team Foundation Server and Team Foundation Build
Black Ice and PIX image libraries
