MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Red Mango location at the McCarran International Airport.
REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform all of the essential duties required of Crewmembers and Shift Leads
Create schedules based on peak sales hours.
Be able to analyze sales and create sales goals on a regular basis along with G.M.
Manage and monitor the COGS, labor and waste so they are in line
Ability to create projections and come up with strategies to meet those projections.
Recruit interview and hire staff, understand union policies and have a strong attention to detail regarding paperwork.
Provide an accurate intake of monthly inventory.
Correspond on a regular basis with G.M., store managers, and accounting.
Address, respond to, and resolve customer needs, questions, complaints, etc., as required.
Receive, check in, and supervise storage of foodstuffs and supplies; transmit related paperwork to accounting.
As directed by G.M.,evaluate supply needs; prepare and place orders with vendors.
Responsible in the taking of the monthly physical inventory.
As directed by the G.M., conduct and/or supervise training of new employees.
As requested, evaluate the performance of Crewmembers; make recommendations to G.M . Document issues as it relates to the overall performance of duties both positive and negative.
Comply with all JV Ventures, Red Mango and Auntie Anne?s policies and procedures, including relevant federal and state regulations, e.g., safety and environmental standards, OSHA, EPA, Right-to-Know, EEO, ADA, .
Recommend pricing strategies for new product, and research and present new product opportunities to boost sales.
Spend time working in the store Observing traffic flow. Observing team members performance and morale. Supporting, encouraging and training while in the store. Creating a positive and harmonious workplace. Covering breaks if needed. Assisting when store is busy and effectively reporting and handling any emergency situations.
Present ideas for increased sales to Executive team on a monthly basis.
Strive at all times to create a positive customer service experience through ongoing training and constant monitoring of service skills of employees.
Direct and supervise cleaning schedules and ensure a clean store.
Daily Manager Duties
A daily walk through should be performed at the beginning of your shift and the end of your shift to include the following:
Checking for temperatures daily. (even after SL checks them)
Observe and correct things that can be changed to make the store operate better (i.e. organizing shelving, storage containers, drawers next to register) Should be looking daily at ways to eliminate clutter in the store and make things more efficient. Offer suggestions, make executive decisions, this applies to both stores.
Make sure product is rotated
Check temperatures and labels
Monitor crew member product preparation, cooking and procedures
Checking equipment
HR Duties:
ONE ON ONE-
Meetings with team members and shift leads. Discuss ideas to make things more efficient. Concerns that they have. Every one on one should ask: What is something that could change to make the shift run more efficiently. Ideas should be documented.
One on one?s should happen once every quarter with each employee. Should be no more than 20 min.
Report back in the Communication log what the outcome of the one on one was.
Enforcing company policies that relate to accuracy of recording hours worked, accurate clocking in and out procedures for breaks and lunch.
EVALUATIONS:
Assist G.M. with Yearly evaluations if requested. Sit in on meetings and offer input.
INCENTIVE PROGRAMS:
Present to executive team incentive Initiatives for employees. Fun ideas to get moral and spirits up. Perhaps it?s a marketing initiative, team building or training course. These incentives do not necessarily have to be cash incentives but should allow you to train, boost sales and create a fun environment simultaneously. Should be implementing at least one per quarter. (ie. rewarding for highest check averages, pop quizzes, drawings, lunch on us etc.)
