Software Engineer Job Opening in Hampton, Virginia - The Software Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, analysis, design and support of the current IT software and the development of new software system solutions that meet the changing needs of the company.
Required Qualifications:
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent field of study;
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and ability to think strategically and logically;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Detail oriented;
A strong work ethic, curiosity, and a passion for IT software solutions.
Preferred Experience:
Languages: Java, J2EE, JavaEE, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PHP, PERL, Python
Frameworks: Bootstrap, Uikit, Persistence, MVC
Databases: MySQL, SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL
Operating Systems: Linux and Windows
This is an office position, not a work from home position, and reports to the Director of IT and company Vice President. Compensation is negotiable, based on experience. Paid vacation, medical and life insurance, and retirement benefits are provided.
