Summary:
Provide Physicians and their offices with the tools necessary for each Physician to achieve their short and long-term goals.
Specific Duties:
Develop and update action plans for Physicians.
Support Physicians in improving outcomes in their Patient Satisfaction Surveys
Encourage Physicians to get Allscripts chart notes completed
Monitor and support physicians in their Meaningful use efforts, advising if an area is deficient
Monitor and support physicians in PCMH measures including open access, test tracking and transitions of care * Review budgets and financial statements for each Physician on an annual basis.
Prepare Productivity Reports quarterly to update the physicians on their panel size and make up and opportunities in their coding and types of visits
Prepare Snapshot reports quarterly with the physicians to discuss and monitor copay collections; accounts over 90 days; number of visits per day and the reimbursement; overhead; website usage and PCMH reimbursement
Prepare Benchmark reports quarterly to evaluate all physicians by specialty * Review financial statements and monthly billing report for GIGP and GIGP employed Physicians and integrate analysis into bi-monthly operational meetings.
Record financials on a trending report and monitor it for any discrepancies
Monitor the banking account for physicians for their improved cash flow * Present Physicians with a detailed analysis of their practices and recommend improvements through an office flow analysis.
Assist offices during PCMH practice audits, making sure that they are trained on the current measures. * Analyze Physician?s operational, financial, and managed care statistics and compare them to group and other benchmarking norms.
Monitor monthly income statement, Schedule A, and billing report.
Analyze all capital purchase/lease arrangements for financial and operational feasibility.
Attend bi-weekly meetings with VP of Physician Services to discuss action plans, issues, ideas, and areas of improvement. .
Physician office liaison to the departments at Genesys PHO.
Work with the Quality Department to distribute and educate staff and physicians on the various incentive programs
Work with EMO department to distribute updates and make sure that the staff and physicians are implementing the changes
Work with the IS department on creating and updating Cognos reports
Work with the Administrative department to assist in credentialing new physicians
Work with the Utilization Department to provide the physicians with timely reports
Work with the Finance Department in notifying physicians of their financial status, payroll problems etc.
Work with the Help Desk on getting new employees trained and logins for the practice management system, Allscripts and the Insurance websites
Support RCM by delivering and explaining the monthly Benchmark reports and graphs * Work with GPHO departments to implement quality and utilization processes. i.e.: Payer incentive programs, mentor meetings.
Develop reports to advise physicians of their progress and opportunities
Provide offices and physicians with lists of patients who need to be seen.
Develop LEAN processes to improve the efficiencies and processes in the offices
Develop policies as needed for PCMH and Quality initiatives * Attend various GIGP Physician Committees.
Support the bi-monthly User Group assisting in training for the staff as needed * Roll out new programs such as Advanced Directives, Website Utilization and Promotion
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Technical Skills Required:
Bachelor?s degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related field.
Minimum of 2 years management experience.
Medical office experience.
Financial analysis experience preferred
Interpersonal Skills Required:
The ability to lead a team by communicating well, both written and oral.
Exhibit professional behavior.
Additional Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Valid drivers license
Understanding of computers and ability to learn new applications.
Experience with various software programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project.
