Staff Accountant Job Opening in Yakima, Washington - Job Description
Work on a variety of audit engagements under the supervision of accounting professionals by performing the following duties.
Perform audit procedures related to financial statement accounts and propose adjusting journal entries when needed.
Communicate with client personnel in order to identify and assess existing client accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Review accounting transactions and consider appropriate application of generally accepted accounting principles.
Prepare financial statements, notes, internal control observations and recommendations.
Research fundamental issues using online tools.
Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Able to work overtime during certain seasonal periods.
Desired Skills & Experience
A Bachelor or Master?s degree in accounting
Organized, energetic and self-directed with a professional appearance
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Familiar with the principals of financial statements
Excellent Communication Skills
CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred
