Configuration and Data Administrator Job Opening in Glen Allen, Virginia - The is in an onsite position at the corporate office of AllyAlign Health.
The Configuration and Data Administrator is the gatekeeper of changes to the that support our business process. Because AAH relies on 3rd party software, our are heavily configured. Configuration and data enables our processes to work. Therefore, configuration (software and application), file/data specifications, and file/data interfaces must be well managed and well controlled. Software configuration refers to the overall of product to make it functional in the AAH Application configuration refers to the module-specific configuration within the product, e.g., package configuration, status values, etc. Specifications to file/data are product-specific that the vendor has published, or process-specific that AAH has published to enable data integration. File/data interfaces are inbound and outbound data transfers, as well as inload and outload data processing.
Responsibilities and expectations are as follows:
manage and administer software and application configuration of systems during implementation, maintenance (vendor scheduled software release), enhancement (AAH-specified changes), and ongoing application support in all environments
manage and administer file and data specifications that are published by vendor and published by AAH; assume technical expertise in understanding and interpretation of specifications, including data source and data destination
manage and administer file and data interfaces; assume technical expertise in understanding and interpretation of dependencies, sequencing, exception handling.
establish and maintain check list or punch list for applying configuration in any and all environments, ensuring completeness and accuracy with no crossover (ie test point to prod) of the build/configuration, and able to repeat the steps consistently with same results
adhere to standards to ensure discipline and controlled changes to systems
collaborate with Systems, process owners, and/or vendors to ensure configuration best practices, to improve processes and systems
work closely with Business Analyst of specific domains to develop/modify configuration to ensure accurate processing, for example, benefit and payment rules, provider reimbursement and structures, etc.
work with Systems and process owners in designing new workflow or enhancing workflow
work with compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities to promote traceability, accountability, and adherence to policy and standards
Essential qualifications and skills required and preferred to be able to accomplish responsibilities and expectations are as follows:
Bachelor?s Degree
Extensive experience in of Healthcare Information Systems ? claims, provider, member, any or all of the aforementioned
Preferred experience in: building health plans, provider data maintenance and reimbursement methodologies including fee schedules, contract management and workflow processes; Medicare claims; medical billing and coding
7+ years of demonstrated successful experience in the healthcare industry; at least 3 years application administration or application configuration of healthcare systems
Strong attention to detail and organization
Able to work independently; strong analytic skills, advanced problem solving, critical thinking, and process analysis skills
Strong computer/technical skills
Personally driven and able to work in a fluid environment with general direction
Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team
Basic SQL knowledge, in order to review data for trends, metrics, results, and incorporate review results in analysis
Proven customer (internal and external) acumen and relationship building skills in a healthcare environment
Strong written and verbal communication and clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages
Knowledge of Healthcare industry and market place trends, specifically related to managed Medicare, managed Medicaid, dual eligible members and insurance products
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
