Senior Accountant Job Opening in Centerville, Utah - J. Fisher Companies is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations, specifically in our commercial construction entity.
Applicants will only be considered if they have either a degree in accounting or work experience with journal entries and financial statements.
Responsibilities
Prepare construction draws on a monthly basis
Produce accounting reports for various construction projects
Oversee the daily accounting of J. Fisher Companies and its affiliated entities
Create monthly, quarterly, or yearly financial statements for each entity
Oversee the accounts payable process
Oversee the accounts receivable process
Reconcile accounting records to bank statements
Use historical data and projections to create/update cash flow models
Work with banks on lending/financing of projects
Create models to analyze and present to Controller
Prepare checks, wires, and ACH payments
Work with the CPA to prepare year-end tax filings for every entity
Any other duties as assigned relating to the finances or accounting records
Candidate must have the following:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related field
2+ years experience
Real estate accounting experience will be a high priority
Preferences
Experience with Quickbooks
Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups, pivot tables, and visual basic
