Junior Software Engineer (Bilingual English / Spanish) Job Opening in Orlando, Florida - INTUITION, a technology based start-up with headquarters in Orlando,FL, is looking for highly skilled software developer to work from our Orlando office so the successful candidate must be located locally. We are looking for someone that loves data and the creation of innovative web based tools. The role will be best suited to a self-starter with a passion for programming that enjoys both the challenge of engineering the backend as well as web development.
Our core product, known simply as INTUITION is a highly customizable and scaleable business intelligence solution, offering a series of integrated Customer Engagement and Reputation Management modules. You will be required to have: knowledge of APIs and all associated language types, specifically able to create and code APIs from end to end to connect two or more pieces of software. Complete daily tasks while working on any possible automations of daily tasks through API / Web Hooks to improve efficiencies. Daily tasks include the processing of data files for survey deployment, TripAdvisor encryption, data analytics, building of dashboards and reporting within our existing platform, marketing automation campaigns, social media management and more. Creation of mobile apps, custom CRM add-ons, and other data-driven platforms. Creation of middleware to further automate and integrate processes. Only those with proven experience that incorporates all of the above skills will be considered.
Requirements
Experience with Property Management Systems or Hospitality technology is preferred.
Must be experienced in building APIs to connect systems and have a strong familiarity with other technologies used for data integrations and processing: SQL (SqlServer, MySql and Oracle), web services (REST, Soap, XML, JSON and HTTPs), FTP and CSV
An understanding of computer science such as algorithms, databases, data structures, parallel computing and experience with marketing automation is preferred.
Have a minimum of 5 years professional experience programming in Java.
Proficiency in at least one other language outside of Java i.e Ruby, Python, Scala, Erling or etc.
Have experience with the technical challenges involved in the processing and computation of large data sets.
The greatest attention to details and accuracy.
High level of problem solving skills.
Flawless communication skills both verbal and written English (Spanish is a plus)
Enjoy a fast paced sometimes high pressure environment.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information System or equivalent industry experience.
